National race from Le Mans 2025 – 570 kilometres
On July 22, 2025 at 08:00 hrs. the stopping of this year’s national flight took place in Le Mans (France). The traditional stopping area with the coordinates B 48°01’01.0" / L 01°11’46.0" was the starting point for 697 pigeons from a total of 41 breeders from Switzerland.

The average distance to the home of the participants was a proud 607 kilometers, our own flight distance was 570 kilometers. Even the first returnees impressed with an airspeed of 1’680 m/min, which corresponds to 100,8 km/h – a remarkable performance over this distance.

We ourselves had 6 Pigeons set, and all 6 We've come home, and what's particularly remarkable is that our animals didn't know the direction of the flight. All the price flights in advance are from the east, whereas Le Mans is deep in the west, so it's all the more impressive how these extraordinary animals can orient themselves and adapt -- a true natural wonder.
The only downside: raptor attacks. Apparently, during the return trip, there were massive attacks again, which we also saw - a pigeon returned injured and only on the second day home. But she too made it.

The national flight Le Mans 2025 was once again an impressive testament to the endurance, intelligence and home loyalty of our pigeons – and a strong sign of the vibrancy of our sport.
